Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our eye care products and eye health.

How often should I use CLERTEAR lubricating eye drops?

+
For general eye comfort, CLERTEAR drops can be used 2-4 times daily or as needed. For chronic dry eyes, your doctor may recommend more frequent use. CLERTEAR GEL is recommended for overnight use and severe dry eye conditions. CLERTEAR ULTRA with its dual-polymer formula provides advanced and longer-lasting relief.

What is the difference between KRISMOX, KRISMOX T, and KRISMOX KT?

+
KRISMOX contains Moxifloxacin alone for bacterial infections. KRISMOX T combines Moxifloxacin with Tobramycin for enhanced dual-antibiotic coverage against resistant bacteria. KRISMOX KT combines Moxifloxacin with Ketorolac (an NSAID) for conditions where both infection and inflammation need to be treated simultaneously, such as post-operative care.

Do I need a prescription for antibiotic eye drops?

+
Yes, KRISMOX, KRISMOX T, KRISMOX KT, and GATRITY are prescription-only medications. These antibiotic eye drops should only be used under the guidance and supervision of a licensed ophthalmologist. Self-medication with antibiotics can lead to resistance.

What are the benefits of KRISTIGEM Capsules?

+
KRISTIGEM Capsules contain a comprehensive blend of eye-supporting nutrients including Omega-3 Fatty Acids (EPA & DHA), Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Astaxanthin. These nutrients help protect against age-related macular degeneration (AMD), reduce blue light damage, support retinal health, and provide powerful antioxidant protection for overall eye wellness.

What is the shelf life of your eye drops?

+
Unopened products have a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. Once opened, most eye drops should be used within 28 days (4 weeks) and then discarded to maintain sterility. Always check the label for specific storage instructions.

Can I use multiple eye drop products at the same time?

+
If your doctor has prescribed multiple eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between applying different products. This allows each medication to be properly absorbed. Always follow your ophthalmologist's instructions regarding the order and timing of application.

What is the difference between CLERTEAR, CLERTEAR GEL, and CLERTEAR ULTRA?

+
CLERTEAR (CMC 0.5%) is ideal for mild to moderate dry eyes and daily use. CLERTEAR GEL (CMC 1%) has double the concentration for severe dry eyes and overnight protection. CLERTEAR ULTRA uses a completely different dual-polymer system (PEG 400 + Propylene Glycol) for advanced multi-layered tear film protection, ideal for patients who don't respond to standard lubricants.

How should I store eye drops?

+
Store eye drops in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Most eye drops should be stored below 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep the cap tightly closed after each use. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to maintain sterility. Keep out of reach of children.
